- In paintings of different styles: from minimalist to complex, from graphic to expressive , perspective breaks the forth wall and leads us into the space of the canvas satisfying our primal instinct to go forward and explore.
- Perspective, especially linear perspective often seen as something difficult, but the basics are quite simple. That essential understanding of it brings the benefit of being much more comfortable in the space of our creations.
- We are going to cover the following topics:
- perspective as a compositional tool;
- one-, two-, and three-point perspective;
- Renaissance and perspective;
- linear perspective and a sense of stability ;
- perspective and three-dimensionality.
- As far as the subject for the workshop, you can create your own composition, copy a master painting, or create a series of linear perspective studies. Let's find exiting and beautiful images that use the power of perspective.
- We will meet for six hours every Monday in the course of six weeks. You will continue working on your projects at home during the week. As usual, all paintings created during the workshop will be exhibited at our gallery in Georgetown.
- We are very exited about this new project and look forward to working with you!
